Application methods are critical when lubricating bicycle parts. A spray oiler does not hit the parts to be oiled accurately enough, wastes valuable oil and sprinkles surrounding surfaces or the ground. Subsequent wiping means additional effort and, even after wiping off excess oil on adjacent parts, if oil has been on the frame, the visual impression of this part differs clearly from the rest of the bicycle. Spilled oil is also a waste of money and pollutes the environment. Additionally, even if spraying repeatedly, hard to reach spots often are not lubricated sufficiently.
